Aqua Farm is farm where a lot of vegetables and fishes are produced together through a technique called aqua farming. Aqua farming is the best and eco-freindly way of farming a number of vegetables and fishes food. Aquaponics is newly developed scientific method of intensive farming. Aqua-farming is combination of aquaculture and hydro-farming. Thus, it is the best way of growing plants and aquatic animals together. In this method fishes can be raised in a tank. This tank is connected to a gravel bed that the wasted water can be drained into gravel beds. Fish waste is toxic ammonia which the bacteria present in the raised beds breaks it into nitrate and then nitrate transforms into nitrogen. As nitrogen is one of the key elements necessary for the growth of plants.

With unacceptable hike in agricultural tools, fertilizers and seeds it is not a business of profit. It requires large investment but pays very little. Added to this, natural disaster such as floods, drought etc tremendously damage the crops. Except that there are various reasons of declining interest of farmers in cultivation and fall in per hectare production.

Over the years the production of food grain has dropped continuously. It was due to the existing system of farming. Even today, crops are produced traditionally or through such a method that does not appears to be relevant as to the need of the time. There is a need of intensive farming and it is possible only through aqua-farming. For it particularly focuses on growing foods in less space. There, fishes and vegetables are grown together through a unique technique.

In the recent years there has been tremendous change in way of yielding different crops. Monsoon failure, changing in climate has prompted the induction and application sophisticated technology in agriculture. There has been several research in the field of agriculture science which has invented new techniques and high yielding seeds.

Aquaponics farm is more profitable and recycling method of farming. Through this system of farming at a time crops and food animals like fishes are cultivated. As aquaponics is recycling and eco-friendly method of farming, it uses no chemicals and the water used for raising fishes are pumped into the field for irrigation of crops and then it , after filtration, is pumped again into the tank .

Thus, being eco-friendly, one time investment and small areas requirement, aquaponics farm is really a good idea to produce fishes and hydro plants together.
